Math Night will be Thursday, January 28. Come see how math is done in the classroom now! There will be activities in classes in each grade for you to try. Please return the RSVP by Monday, January 25.
Make sure to color in the cold guy on your January Book It Reading Log each day you read for at least 20 minutes!
Ariana and Claire represented our class in the school Spelling Bee today – they both did a fantastic job!
The 2016 Arbor Day Poster Contest is well under way! Show off your creativity with the theme, “A Tree for All Seasons.” Entry forms went home last week. All entries are due to the media center by Friday, February 5.
There will not be school on Monday, January 18, in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
Next week on Tuesday we will have our WWI and Post War Test. Please Please Please make sure they study for this test over this weekend. They have part 1 and part 2 study guide in their social studies notebook.
Next Friday (1/22) will be their math two dimensional posttest. Please study interactive notebook and continue to practice skills on First in Math.
What we are studying:
Reading – analyzing how visual elements are important to text.
Writing – we have written two bold beginnings to our new narrative this week: A Dogs’ Life or A sticky situation.
Math – we are continuing to work on geometry with two dimensional shapes and how to classify them into a hierarchy. The test will be on Friday.
Social Studies – completed World War 1 and Post War. Test will be on Tuesday (1/19)
