Math Night is tonight, 6:00 – 7:30. Come see how math is done in the classroom now! There will be activities in classes in each grade for you to try and items to take home. I will be there teaching a math game, hope to see you there!
We have scheduled our fifth grade field trip to the Tennessee Aquarium in Chattanooga for Thursday, March 24. Permission slips and an informational letter are in your folder – please look them over for everything you need to know. All permission slips and money are due by Friday, February 26.
Make sure to color in the cold guy on your January Book It Reading Log each day you read for at least 20 minutes! Turn that in on Monday, February 1.
The 2016 Arbor Day Poster Contest is now under way! Show off your creativity with the theme, “A Tree for All Seasons.” All entries are due to the media center by Friday, February 5.
A Market Day letter is in your folder today to let you parents know what is going on. Business plans will be sent home next week.
We had a 4H lesson on electricity this week. Students were also given a flyer 4H for the plant sale, a fundraiser that helps provide college scholarships, as well as summer camp scholarships for elementary students.
***GRADES*** Please continue to monitor grades on Synergy and to see if your student is missing ANY work. Please have a discussion about doing their best on every assignment and making sure their assignments are getting turned in on time. Trying to prepare them for middle school!!!
Parents, there is an important letter from Dr. Adeli in your folder this week concerning Georgia Milestones testing. Please stress the importance of doing well to your child! All the work we do in class should be practice for showing how much they really know on the tests, so they really need to be putting in their best effort at all times.
