October 15, 2015
Next week is Conference Week. Students will be dismissed 2 hours early every day all week. Your conference day and time will be on your students’ dojo report, in case you need a reminder. I look forward to meeting with all of you to discuss your children!
We have started recognizing the Player of the Day for First in Math, the online computer program your kids can work on at school and at home. This program is personalized to their needs, so gives them practice in skills they are weak in, but also gives them opportunities to extend their learning with other games. We have had a different Player of the Day almost every day – glad to see so many students practicing math! Remind them to get on at home!
From the office: The 2015/2016 School Climate Survey in now available. Please follow the link below to complete the school climate survey via your personal computer, smartphone, or tablet. If you do not have access to the Internet, you can take the survey in the Parent Resource Room (202) during school hours or the Learning Commons during Conference week. The data collected will be part of Acworth’s School Climate Star Rating. Survey responses are anonymous and will be submitted directly to the Georgia Department of Education for analysis. Thank you in advance for your input. Georgia Parent Survey: http://apps.gadoe.org/schoolclimate/parents.nsf/Survey.xsp
