December 17, 2015
Make sure to color in your mitten each day you read for at least 20 minutes of your December reading log. They will be due when you come back in January.
We went to see the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra at Lassiter Concert Hall today. The children behaved wonderfully for a symphony! Make sure they tell about the performance!
Thanks for everyone’s donations to our class Holiday Party yesterday. The students all had a good time, and we will be able to snack on leftovers today and tomorrow.
Winter Holiday Break will be Monday, December 21 – Monday, January 4. Students will return to school on Tuesday, January 5. Feel free to read and do some First in Math over that time! We will get right back to work in January, so want everyone ready!
I hope everyone had a wonderful and safe Holiday Break!
What we are studying:
Reading – continuing to focus on point of view.
Writing – grammar lessons – past tense, perfect tense, and future tense, interjections, and prepositions.
Math – finished adding, subtracting, multiplication, and division.
Social Studies- world war I
