Market Day was Tuesday and Wednesday this week. Everyone did a great job with their businesses! This hands-on economics lesson really let the students understand supply and demand and what it takes to run a business! I really saw some potential entrepreneurs both days!
Parents, please let me know if you would be interested in being a parent volunteer for Social Studies days on March 22 and 23, or Science Days on March 29 and 30.
The Book Fair is next week! We will be going for a preview, then students can bring money all week to purchase books. Thanks for your support of our Learning Commons!
There is a letter in your folders today about Georgia Milestones testing – please note the dates. We will begin the Wednesday we come back from Spring Break! School Picture Day will be Friday, March 25. Class pictures will be taken, and you can order individual pictures. Look for more information closer to that date. This is the day after our TN Aquarium fieldtrip.
There will be an Elementary Mathfest at Walton High School on Saturday, March 26. This would be a great opportunity for you to show off your math skills! The flyer went home last week.
International Night will be Thursday, March 31, at McCall Primary School, 6:00 – 7:30 PM. We are looking for parents/ families to represent their cultures at this fun evening. Please return the bottom part of the blue form if you are interested.
Don’t forget to “Spring Ahead” this weekend – set your clocks ahead!
I have a couple students that continue to leave their agenda at home- please make sure they are bring this to school daily. We have a specific time where we write in our agendas daily.
What we are studying:
Reading – last week of really focusing on reason and evidence and providing a quote from passages.
Writing – career essay for students to be able to transition to middle school.
FINAL DRAFT DUE FRIDAY- Students knew about this since Monday!
Math – review of converting bw units of measurement/volume of prisms and comp. figures.
TEST IS TOMORROW- STUDY GUIDE WENT HOME MONDAY
