Acworth’s annual canned food drive is almost over. We will be collecting cans through Monday, November 16. We would love it if everyone could donate 1 item – the school could collect over 700 items that way! Thank you for your generosity!
We got to do lots of fun science experiments at Science Night last week. Congratulations to Quentin and Alex for competing in the science fair for fifth grade– there were only 15 participants in the school and two came from our class.
Results for your child’s Iowa Assessments are in your folder today. Please look them over to see their strengths and weaknesses. There is a key on the back to help you understand.
Next week is the Book Fair! We are going to preview it on Monday, November 16, then students with money can go throughout the week. It will also be open during the Grandparents’ Luncheon and during the musical performance next Thursday evening. You can also order online – go to http://bookfairs.scholastic.com/homepage/acworth. The online Book Fair runs through November 21, and all items will be delivered to the school for free. Mrs. Clay also has this link set up for parents with information: http://www.cobblearning.net/acwmedia/for-parents/.
Please return permission slips for the Human Growth and Development program by Wednesday, November 18.
Thanks to everyone that participated in the Yankee Candle fundraiser! Proceeds from these sales go back to our school and helps us all out.
